About USA Triathlon National Championships for Military & First Responders

The fifth edition of the USA Triathlon Military and First Responders National Championships will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2025, as part of Leon’s Triathlon in Hammond, Indiana. This prestigious event will continue to honor the service and sacrifice of members of the U.S. Armed Forces, as well as police, fire, and EMS personnel in the multisport community.

On race day, competitors representing all branches of the U.S. military and various divisions of police, EMS, and fire response will compete in the National Championship event, featuring both a sprint-distance (500-meter swim, 11.6-mile bike, 5-kilometer run) and an Olympic-distance (1,500-meter swim, 23.2-mile bike, 10-kilometer run) race.

Athletes will have the opportunity to earn national titles in various race categories, including: Sprint – Active Duty, Sprint – Veteran, Sprint – Paratriathlon Military, Sprint – Paratriathlon First Responder, Sprint – EMS, Sprint – Fire, and Sprint – Police, as well as Olympic – Active Duty, Olympic – Veteran, Olympic – EMS, Olympic – Fire, and Olympic – Police.
