What an incredible day we had!
The Canine Obstacle Course Race at Leon’s Heroes had an amazing turnout this past Sunday, and we are so grateful to everyone who came out with their four-legged friends and helped make the event so special.
There is something truly wonderful about seeing people and their dogs come together for a common purpose. At Leon’s Heroes, we are honored to celebrate the extraordinary bond between humans and their dogs, while also recognizing the many Military and Law Enforcement dogs who have served alongside our heroes.
And now, we are excited to build on that momentum.
Register for 2027 for Only $99
To celebrate the success of this year’s event, we are offering a special registration price for next year’s Canine Obstacle Course Race.
From now through October 4 at 11:59 PM CDT, registration is only $99.
After October 3, the registration price will increase, so if you have been thinking about bringing your dog next year, this is a wonderful opportunity to reserve your place at a special price.
And there is another important reason to register early.
We are intentionally keeping this event small.
We want to grow the Canine Obstacle Course Race, but we want to do it with humility and intentionality. Part of what makes this event so special is the intimate atmosphere. We don’t want to lose that as the event grows.
As more people discover this unique experience, we expect to reach our maximum capacity quickly. Once we reach that number, we will begin a waiting list.
So registering now not only gives you the $99 price, it helps ensure that you have a place on the starting line.
A National Series Is Growing
We are also incredibly honored to be part of something much bigger.
Our Leon’s Heroes Canine Obstacle Course Race serves as the opening event for the National Canine Obstacle Race Series with Midwest Canine Obstacle Run. Learn more about the National Canine Obstacle Race Series by clicking here.
The series will continue growing next year with events in Michigan, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Indiana.
We are humbled to partner with the National Canine Obstacle Race Series and look forward to seeing where this opportunity takes us. Our hope is to continue building something meaningful for dog lovers, families, competitors, and especially the incredible dogs who have given so much in service to others.

Honoring Our Four-Legged Heroes
One of the most important parts of this event is honoring retired Military and Law Enforcement dogs.
These animals are true heroes. They have served beside their handlers, protected others, and given their loyalty and courage in ways that deserve to be remembered.
We would like to extend a special invitation to retired Military and Law Enforcement dogs to be part of next year’s event.
We are also looking for a few Honorary Dogs who can be highlighted and recognized during our opening ceremony. We want to tell their stories and honor the ways in which they have served our country and our communities.
