There are many triathlons across the country, but very few offers an experience quite like Leon’s Triathlon.
When you participate in America’s Race, you will have the opportunity to race along one of the few Gold Star Memorial Highways in the United States, officially designated by the State of Indiana. It is a powerful reminder that this event stands for something much greater than competition alone.
The bike portion of the race begins beside the Gold Star Memorial, creating a moment that many athletes describe as emotional, humbling, and unforgettable. Before the race even begins, you are reminded of the families who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms and the service members who gave everything for this country.
At Leon’s Triathlon, patriotism is not just part of the branding. It is deeply woven into the experience itself. From the American flags lining the course to the veterans and military families who help make this event possible, there is a feeling here that is difficult to put into words until you experience it yourself.
As we prepare to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of America in 2026, moments like these carry even greater meaning. We are honored to host an event that not only celebrates athletic achievement, but also honors the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of our nation.
For many athletes, racing at Leon’s becomes more than just crossing a finish line. It becomes a moment of reflection, gratitude, and pride in being part of something truly meaningful.
We are humbled to continue this tradition and grateful to everyone who joins us in honoring America, our veterans, and Gold Star families.
