As we prepare for America’s 250th Anniversary, there has never been a more meaningful time to be part of Leon’s Triathlon and America’s Race.
Right now, the weather forecast is shaping up beautifully, and all signs are pointing toward an incredible race weekend. Behind the scenes, our team is already hard at work preparing to make this event as special as possible for every athlete, family member, volunteer, veteran, and supporter who joins us.
In the week leading up to the race, the park transforms into something truly unique. Semi-trucks begin arriving. Volunteers work nonstop. Veterans and supporters come together. The coordination never stops. It is a tremendous amount of work, but it is work we are honored to do because this event exists for something much bigger than sport alone.
Everything we do is rooted in showing our gratitude and respect for the Military, Veterans, and First Responders who have given so much for our country.
And one of the most important things we want people to know is this:
You do not have to be a triathlete to be part of Leon’s Triathlon.
Many participants join us not to compete for a time or a medal, but to honor someone they love. Some race in memory of a parent, grandparent, sibling, friend, or fellow service member. Others simply want to stand alongside a community that believes in honoring sacrifice, service, and patriotism.
There is something incredibly powerful about crossing a finish line while carrying someone in your heart.
Whether you walk, run, cheer from the sidelines, volunteer, or take on the full race, you are part of something meaningful here. The atmosphere, the American flags, the military presence, and the sense of unity create an experience unlike anything else.
As we prepare to commemorate 250 years of America, we humbly ask that if you are planning to participate, please consider registering sooner rather than later. Early registrations help us properly prepare and ensure we can continue creating the unforgettable experience our participants deserve.
Leon’s Triathlon has always been about more than athletics. It is about community, remembrance, gratitude, and honoring the people who helped build and defend this country.
We would be honored to have you join us for America’s Race.
