This weekend—Friday through Sunday—the Chicagoland Triathlon Series returns, and Leon’s Triathlon is 
honored to be a part of it once again. The Series brings together three great races: the Chicago Triathlon, the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon, and Leon’s Triathlon. Together, these events form a celebration of endurance, camaraderie, and community spirit that spans the entire region.
We at Leon’s Triathlon are humbled to share such a rich history with the Chicago Triathlon. For over 40 years, our two races have grown side by side, bound by mutual respect and the shared mission of bringing athletes together. It’s a friendship that continues to thrive, and one we look forward to strengthening as we move ahead.

Looking toward next year, we are working hard to make our events extra meaningful as we honor America’s 250th anniversary. Each Leon’s race is built not only by athletes, but also by the people who defend our country and strengthen our communities. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, this is the year to do it.
And if you’re curious to try something a little different, don’t miss our Obstacle Course Race on September 14 at Indiana Dunes National Park. This unique event—created in honor of 9/11—features 12+ obstacles, a symbolic stair climb, and even a canine division, so you can bring your dog along for the challenge. It’s a race filled with heart, remembrance, and fun.
