Racing with Purpose
More than just a physical feat, Leon’s Obstacle Race is designed as a living tribute. Inspired by historic acts of courage—from the storming of Normandy to the stairwells of the Twin Towers—this course features 12+ obstacles meant to mirror those moments of heroism. The final push? A symbolic stair climb testing endurance, strength, and heart.
This year’s event holds special significance as we proudly welcome active U.S. Marines. Their presence will be a living reminder of the spirit we honor and a unique opportunity for the community to express heartfelt gratitude in person.
Be a Part of Something Bigger
Gather your family, friends, and teammates for an unforgettable day filled with determination, remembrance, and community. Whether you’re racing or cheering from the sidelines, your presence becomes part of a larger story—captured in this year’s national documentary and celebrated across the country.
Watch highlights from the 2024 PBS feature.
“Someone needed help. It didn’t matter who… I have all this training as a Marine, and all I could think was, ‘My city is in need.'”
– Sgt. Jason Thomas, reflecting on 9/11
“From that moment on, when the flag went up, we knew… we were going to win.”
– Capt. Gerald Russell, Battle of Iwo Jima
This is more than a race. It’s a moment of unity, resilience, and tribute. Will you rise to the challenge?
