This week, Leon’s Heroes proudly took part in a special community tradition—placing flags for the HHA Club’s annual picnic benefiting Cerebral Palsy of Northwest Indiana. It was more than just setting the stage for a great event; it was an opportunity to give back, honor local history, and share a few smiles along the way.
For Leon, the morning carried an extra dose of emotion. Not only was it a chance to serve the community, but it also brought back meaningful memories of family and tradition. Among the familiar faces was someone extra special—third from the right in the group photo, Leon’s dad, a founding member of the original HHA Club established 56 years ago.
It was a full-circle moment: seeing the legacy of service passed from one generation to the next, all while helping raise funds for an important cause.
And speaking of moments—if you catch a glimpse of Leon in today’s photos, you might do a double take. Let’s just say it offers a preview of what Leon might look like with a fresh haircut and shave… though whether that transformation will actually happen is still up for debate!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone at the HHA Club, the volunteers, and all who came together to make today special. Supporting Cerebral Palsy of NWI is a cause we’re proud to stand behind, flags in hand and hearts full.
