As Leon’s Triathlon prepares to proudly celebrate the 250th Anniversary of America, we wanted to create something special for families, friends, veterans, and our community to enjoy together.
That is why we are excited to offer a free, family-friendly, non-competitive Navy 5K Warm Up during race weekend.
This is not about competition or finishing times. It is simply about coming together, enjoying the atmosphere, and sharing in the spirit of one of the most patriotic events you will ever experience. We would be truly honored to have you join us.
The beautiful course follows along the lake and will also serve as part of the championship race course on Sunday. It is scenic, welcoming, and perfect for families of all ages. Bring the kids, bring the dog, and come experience something meaningful together.
While the event itself is free, we kindly ask that you please register in advance so we can properly prepare for everyone attending.
In the days leading up to race weekend, the park begins to transform. Semi-trailers roll in. Veterans and volunteers work side by side preparing the venue. American flags begin lining the course. Everywhere you look, there is a sense of purpose, gratitude, and community.
Everything we do at Leon’s Triathlon is rooted in honoring those who have given so much to our country, especially our military, veterans, and their families. They are our national treasures, and this event exists because of the sacrifices they have made.
This is more than just another 5K.
It is a chance to celebrate America, spend time with family, and be part of something that carries real meaning and heart.
We hope you will join us.
